The Dream Depot will have encore performance of A Christmas Miracle

Saturday, December 9, 2006: "A Christmas Miracle" at Dream Depot
Dream Depot will be presenting "A Christmas Miracle" again Saturday night at 7:00pm. This is a Christmas Musical for the whole family. Lindsey Wilson College receives largest grant in its history!

$725, 124 Brown Foundation Grant will allow renovation, air conditioning of 50 year old Horton Hall; new grant brings total Brown Foundation gifts to more than $2.5 million

COLUMBIA, KY. -- Lindsey Wilson College has received its largest grant in the college's 103-year history, college officials announced today.

The college has received a grant for $725,124 from the James Graham Brown Foundation of Louisville, KY. The grant will be used to help modernize Horton Hall Complex, the college's oldest residence hall for male students, according to Lindsey Wilson President William T. Luckey Jr.

Obituary: Craig Hare, 31, loses courageous battle with melanoma

Memorial Service will be at Cane Valley Christian Church on Saturday, December 9, 2006; memorial service in Indianapolis is Tuesday, December 5, 2006

Craig Hare, 31, Indianapolis, IN, formerly of Columbia and Lexington, KY, died Saturday, December 2, 2006, after a courageous battle with metastatic melanoma.

He was born November 15, 1975. Craig graduated from Adair County High School in 1994. After graduating, he attended Lindsey Wilson College. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology in 1999 from the University of Kentucky.

KSP Post 15 reports 60 accidents in 11 county area in Nov; 2006

Four traffic deaths in Adair, Taylor County, Cumberland Counties in November 2006; traffic fatalities 54 this year in area, up three for November this year, while statewide totals are down

During the month of November 2006, there were 60 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington. There were four fatalities:

The holidays are upon us again. We've got by Thanksgiving with Christmas and the New Year hoving into view.

For many of us, this time of year is a depressing time -- one which should be filled with joy. The sense of the harvest celebration of Thanksgiving plenty is pretty much lost in a world where turkey is frozen in the meat counter and corn comes in cans.

Feedback: A Christmas in Columbia 2006 Parade adventure

Coming from Glens Fork with two grandsons, Nana has adventure when she thought she'd missed the parade. But the night ended up better than it appeared it would at one time. A letter from Ann Burton Murphy, the Hardscratch (Glens Fork - for those few who don't know that - kid

I'm glad I missed this hold up, but I got in to a much bigger one, before the Parade started.

At about 5:15 p.m., my daughter-in-law called and asked if I was taking my two grandsons to see the Parade. She had told me earlier in the day that they weren't going. I told her we would be late getting into town from Glensfork, and she was quick to remind me that the Parade never started on time.
