Father allowed to be part of son's graduation

A celebration of life was held today for Bradley Adamson, however, before he passed from this life he was able to be with his son Grant in a very special early commencement ceremony one week ago.

So that Grant's father could be part of his son's accomplishment, Adair County High School Principal Chad Parnell and Superintendent Jason Faulkner made the journey to Bradley's room where he was in hospice care in Louisville, on May 20th. Grant wore his cap and gown and received his diploma just as he would on the upcoming Friday evening in the gym at ACHS.

Ashley Adamson posted on May 23, 2025, "It is with incredible sadness we share that Bradley has gone to be with Jesus. It has been an honor to walk beside him as his wife and witness his incredible testimony first hand. God used him in mighty, mighty ways and his purpose on earth has now been fulfilled."

Class of 2025: Kotter plans include Boliva, Lindsey Wilson

By Judy Kotter

Adair County High School Senior Joseph Kotter is graduating Summa Cum Laude with a 4.50 GPA. Kotter's senior year has been spent taking college classes at Lindsey Wilson College. He was a member of the LWC Singers, which performed throughout the year, including a tour to California. He also participated in the theater program at LWC and played Professor Bhaer in their spring production of Little Women.

Following graduation, Kotter plans to serve a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Bolivia Santa Cruz North Mission. During his mission, Kotter will do service and teach the people of Bolivia about Jesus Christ and His gospel.

Missions are not new to the Kotter family. When younger, Joseph's father, Derek, served in the Cordoba Argentina Mission and his mother, Judy, served in the San Antonio Texas Mission.

Following his mission, Kotter plans to return to Lindsey Wilson, where he has been awarded the Trustees Scholarship, to further his education with plans to one day become a lawyer. On his return, he also hopes to rejoin the Lindsey Wilson Singers and the theater program he enjoyed so much. Additionally, he plans to hone his Spanish language skills, which he will develop in Bolivia, through classes offered at Lindsey Wilson.

Kotter's parents are very proud of the young man he has become and the great example he is to his five younger sisters and all those around him.

Letter: Best time to view orbiting objects

Greg Jones writes:
The best time to see Starlink satellites, or the International Space Station when in viewing range, is right after it gets dark with maybe a little bit of sunlight at the horizon. The sun illuminates them from below our horizon, but not below theirs which gives them a very bright reflected illumination against a dark background.

There are many artificial satellites you can spot at this time and a good night sky app can tell you which satellite it is just by pointing your phone at the object.
