LWC Nursing students achieve 100% pass rate on national test

From Duane Bonifer

The Lindsey Wilson College Class of 2024 nursing graduates had a perfect year. All nursing majors who graduated from Lindsey Wilson's award-winning program in 2024 passed the National Council Licensure Examination, the nationwide examination for the licensing of nurses in the United States.

Known as NCLEX, the 100% pass rate of the 19 members of the Class of 2024 reflects the strength of Lindsey Wilson's innovative nursing program, according to Lindsey Wilson Director of Nursing Dr. Emiley Button.

"Our exceptional, thorough curriculum -- combined with an outstanding faculty that puts students at the center of their work in great academic facilities and with strong community partnerships -- are why Lindsey Wilson nursing graduates are among the best in Kentucky," said Button.

Cayce Davenport art on display at Downing Museum

The galleries of Downing Museum in Bowling Green have been refreshing its walls welcoming the coming of Spring. The arboretum is starting to awaken with trees budding, perennials rising to meet the warmer skies. Inside also heralds the changing of seasons and awakening of nature's colors.

Among the new works on display will be a small collection of eco print artwork by Columbia art educator Cayce Davenport. This work will be on display until May second.

Cayce says, "If you've never visited the Baker Arboretum and Downing Museum it's worth the trip. It's the largest permanent collection of works by Joseph Dudley Downing, local art, trees, plants and much more."
