Annual International Host Family Appreciation Dinner By Sabine Eastham Director of Immigration Regulation & Compliance Last night, at the Norma and Glen Hodge Center for Discipleship, we had the good fortune to celebrate our host families, an essential and unique part of the support system at Lindsey Wilson. We are so blessed to partner with 31 families from the local community who are willing to host and befriend our students. All enjoyed spending time together- for some it was: "see you in August," for others it was a "goodbye" for now, as they anticipate to graduate May 3, 2025. Students took to the stage, expressing their feelings, and sharing the immense impact our host families have on their lives. George Kolbenschlag and his lovely bride Vonnie are long-time members of this elite club. He pointed out that this unique experience is enriching both ways, helping to gain a deeper understanding of diverse cultures, languages, and traditions, fostering empathy and tolerance. George shared they even flew to Rumania, to be able to attend the wedding of one of their former host students, having formed truly lifelong connections. Lindsey Wilson currently has 160 +undergraduate students enrolled representing 49 different countries. New students will be joining us in August, many of which will have the opportunity to be matched with families as part of our Host Family Program. (Students live on campus.) LWC and ECTC announce partnership From Duane Bonifer Lindsey Wilson College and Elizabethtown Community and Technical College have signed a partnership to expand postsecondary education opportunities for residents in Central Kentucky. The two schools held a signing ceremony on Friday, April 25, 2025, in the ECTC Regional Postsecondary Center to create a clear pathway for ECTC students to attend two popular Lindsey Wilson's academic programs on the ECTC campus. The agreement will allow ECTC graduates with an associate in science degree in business to earn a Lindsey Wilson bachelor of arts degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting, human resource management and marketing; and ETCS graduates with an associate in science degree in human services to earn a Lindsey Wilson bachelor of arts degree in human services and counseling. Both Lindsey Wilson programs will be offered on the ECTC campus.
