CFR responds to drowning at Green River Lake State Park From Chris Taylor, Chief Executive Director Fire-Rescue-EMS Campbellsville Fire-Rescue At 3:32pmET on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, Campbellsville Fire-Rescue was dispatched to a report of a drowning at the Green River Lake State Park. Upon arrival, firefighters found an unresponsive not breathing adult male on the shore with CPR in progress. CFD and CTCEMS initiated advanced life support care and transported the victim up a steep cliff to the medic unit. No firefighter or any other civilian injuries were reported. The incident is being investigated by the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife. We are unsure of the victim's status at the time of press release. Neighbors appointed to HHS Delivery task force From Laura Leigh Goins Frankfort, KY - Rep. Amy Neighbors of Edmonton will serve on the Kentucky General Assembly's Health and Human Services Delivery Task Force, according to an announcement on May 31, 2023, from the office of House Speaker David Osborne. Legislative leadership created the panel to focus on issues pertaining to health and human services delivery, as well as identifying both areas of improvement and potential solutions. The Cabinet for Health and Family Services contains scores of agencies, offices, and programs aimed at protecting the health of all Kentuckians and providing services to help individuals meet basic needs like housing and food, particularly for our most vulnerable. As you can imagine, it is a multi-billion expenditure in the budget legislators write, so we have a vested interest in ensuring the state's resources are invested well. ACSO: Adair man arrested during accident investigation By Sheriff Josh Brockman Adair County Sheriff's Office On Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at 1:52amCT, Sheriff's Deputy Derek Padgett was investigating a single vehicle collision that occurred 7 miles north of Columbia on Holmes Bend Road. During the investigation, it was found that the operator of the vehicle had a suspended driver's license. In addition to several other violations, he was also found with suspected methamphetamine.
