Blessings Box could use extra goodies

By Amanda Graziano

The last two days we have stocked the Blessings Box full of toys, canned goods, clothing and much more, and both days it's been emptied completely.

We know the town has been rallying to help our neighbors hindered by the tornado, however if they have any extra goodies laying around, it's clear there's a need here in Adair, too.

Thank you so much!

Governor: Omicron variant confirmed in several counties

By Crystal Staley/Scottie Ellis

Frankfort, KY - On Saturday, Gov. Andy Beshear urged rigorous masking in schools and workplace settings after testing confirmed the fast-spreading COVID-19 omicron variant in multiple Kentucky counties.

"This thing is going to spread so fast that any school that is not doing mandatory masking, any business that is not having their folks wear masks could see entire schools, entire shifts get infected very, very quickly," Gov. Beshear said. "Folks I'm telling you: If we don't make the decision to put back on that mask in these situations, it's going disrupt everything we've worked so hard to get back up and going."

Phillip Coffey - Short Distance

Short Distance - By Phillip Coffey
Streamlining my emotions - meanwhile blowing my big nose
Carefully, not to loose all of my stored - up wasted energy.
Yet my thoughts drive me to meaningful - simple, happy situations
With friends and family, closely knit, many gone -pocket knife for Christmas.

Where can I find the simplest of all joys - long gone days - kept memories.
Yes, only those - piles of cover to comfort my sister and myself from the cold
Infrequent harsh Winters, but always, seemingly lasting longer than expected.
Snow so deep, Red 641,'59 model Ford tractor - removing for short distance(s).
