Getting to know one another in an activity called "Brain Dating", which forms two circles, one inner circle and one outer circle, the inner circle rotates every two minutes in order to go around and get to know everyone on the outside.

ACPC Family Fun Fall Activity

Pick up a FREE fall book for your child and a kit to create a pumpkin craft, at the back of the school as you pick up lunch at Adair County Primary Center, 158 Col. Casey Dr, Columbia, KY.

2020 20th District Volleyball Tournament

Campbellsville High School Athletic Department

The 20th District Volleyball Tournament has been moved from Adair County High School and now will be played at Campbellsville High School. With the combination of Adair County having a high number of cases and being a RED county along with some reconstruction of the front porch of the gymnasium, the decision was made to move the tournament to Campbellsville High School.

Tournament Schedule:
  • Monday, Oct 19, 2020: Marion Co vs Adair County, 6:30pmET
  • Tuesday, Oct 20, 2020: Taylor Co vs Campbellsville, 6:30pmET
  • Wednesday, Oct 21, 2020: Championship Game, 6:30pmET
Ticket Information:
  • Tickets are $6.00 per person; 1st grade and older must purchase a ticket.
  • Tickets must be purchased online at www.cvilleathletics.com/tickets. Tickets will be available to participating school's families from noon today until Sunday at noon then tickets will be available for purchase to the public after 12:00 Sunday.
  • Only 250 fans will be allowed for entry to the tournament each night.
  • NO TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE GATE
  • NO PASSES WILL BE ACCEPTED WHICH INCLUDES COACHES AND ADMINISTRATOR CARDS, EMPLOYEE PASSES OR STUDENT PASSES.

Culture Shock Workshop at LWC ISP

On Tuesday, October 12, 2020, 10 domestic and international students had a chance to safely gather in the Holloway Health and Wellness Center to experience the 4th annual "Culture Shock" workshop - offered to students at the beginning of each semester to learn about the struggles of culture shock and methods for coping with them.

Culture Shock can be experienced not only by international students, but also by students moving from high school to college or by students moving from a metropolitan area to a more rural setting. Besides a discussion in which the struggle to adjust was emphasized and acknowledged as "real", students engaged in the "Brain Dating" activity.

Notice from Adair County Government - limited hours continue

Adair County Government offices report they will run on a limited-open basis for the coming week, October 19-24, 2020, due to the rise in cases of COVID-19.

All offices are open and available by phone, email and texts or faxes as were done in the spring, and General Election early voting will continue in the basement of the Annex as was done successfully last week.

Full details and contact numbers will be printed here Monday morning - county services will not be lacking, it will just take a bit more time to accomplish.

Prayers and patience are requested to continue. Please wear masks, remain physically distant and use excellent hand washing skills.

COVID-19 update: 8 new cases in Russell and Adair, 13 in Taylor

New Cases: We report that our total case count has increased by 60 today, Friday, October 16, 2020:

Adair: 8; Casey: 1; Clinton: 2; Cumberland: 4; Green: 3; McCreary: 3; Pulaski: 11; Russell: 8; Taylor: 13; and, Wayne: 7.

Our current new case growth rate is: 1.015. This means our total case count is projected to double every 47.25 days.
