Danny 'Coon' Calhoun, 65, Adair County, KY (1953-2018) He was a member of Living Word Faith Center in Greensburg, retired as an Inspector from Gates Rubber Company in Elizabethtown after over 39 years, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. Danny R. "Coon" Calhoun, 65, of the Portland community, died Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 5:54pmCT at TJ Health/Columbia Emergency Room. Funeral service - Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 11amCT at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Judd and Bro. Eudell Stilts officiating. Burial will be in Fry Baptist Church Cemetery in Green County. Visitation after 5pmCT Monday. Today's ice coating of limbs and wires feels like an ice storm By Linda Waggener While enjoying some soup around noon I was interrupted by a tremendous thud. The soup forgotten, I checked inside the house to see who or what might have fallen, then looked out the windows and saw the problem. A huge limb lay on the ground at the Arnold Waggener property line. It was a casualty of the weight of today's ice coating the trees and ground coupled with its age. When I came here, the neighbors said we'd get along just fine so long as I didn't bother the glorious Elm line tree. I promised and have never touched it. David Joseph Clark, 91, Green County, KY family David and Ollye enjoyed all family times in Greensburg for Holidays, Graduations, and vacations. They drove to Greensburg, KY like it was just around the corner for family unity. Charles "Horten" and Leora Davenport was his substitute father and mother. They took them on summer vacations and when they became ill, Dave helped take care of them as if they were his own. Christmas was a big time for David, Ollye and their children spending it in Greensburg, KY. Being on the farm meant a lot to the whole family. David Joseph Clark, 91 passed away Friday Dec. 7, 2018. The Adair County High basketball team christened the just opened gymnasium by upending Campbellsville High 75-62. Rowe and Shearer combined for well over half of the Indians' points. In the most recent Lindsey Wilson games, Russell County High (in its first year of existence), picked the pockets of Lindsey's "B" team 70-58, but the Blue Raider "A" team quintet took Bethel College to the woodshed with a 101-43 thrashing.
