Willie Mason (Bill) French, Campbellsville, KY (1921-2018) He professed faith in Christ and was of the Pentecostal faith. Bill was instrumental in starting the Jesus Name Church and he steadily reaffirmed the importance of walking with Jesus to his family. He was a retired farmer, enjoyed gardening and in his early years, worked at a sawmill in Elk Horn. He was the patriarch of a respected Taylor County, KY family, the son of the late George French and Emon Whitlock French. He was a farmer, employee of Don's Lumber Company, and a Veteran having served in the United States Army. He was a member of a leading, old line family, the son of the late Thurman Hancock and Thelma Squires Hancock, and the widower of Mary Sue Brown Hancock, his wife of 51 years. KSP says pursuit of Tennessee motorcyclist reached 150 mph Chase, all within in Adair County started on KY 61 and ended on the LBN Pkwy. It lasted approximately 17 minutes, travelling 32 miles, reaching speeds in excess of 150MPH prior to suspect being stopped. Suspect arrested, facing charges of Fleeing or evading police 1st degree motor vehicle, speeding 26 or more over limit, Wanton endangerment 1st degree, and additional charges. He was lodged in the Adair County Regional jail. A passenger on the vehicle was not charged. NOTE: Arrests are considered charges. An arrest is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged in an arrest is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding. WLEX-TV reported no one was injured. The building housed several apartments and two businesses. The businesses were not open at the time of the fire.
