Margaret Pickett O'Banion, 98, Green Co., KY (1920-2018)

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville First United Methodist Church. Mrs. O'Banion was also a retired Elementary School Teacher. She was a member of a prominent Green County, KY family, a daughter and one of eight children of the late Leslie Pickett and Eula Keltner Pickett; with her passing, one sibling, Brooks Pickett, survives. She was the widow of Russell Hay O'Banion, her husband of 59 years. She leaves three direct living descendants.

Hungry Kids Cafe is ready, come and see us at Farmer's Market on the Square, Corner Merchant & Campbellsville Streets, Columbia, KY 8am-1pmCT (our hours may be slightly different), Saturday, April 28, 2018. Here's our menu:
  • Breakfast: French toast, Sausage, Fruit parfait.
  • Lunch: Taco lasagna, Fresh salad, Garlic bread, Mini blueberry pies.
All kids eat free. Parents join your children for a donation.

The market will offer plants and baked goods, goat milk soap, Adair County-raised meat, chicken and duck eggs, pot holders and quilts, bird feeders and crafts.

Sandy Marie Clements, 48, Liberty, KY (1969-2018)

Sandy loved hummingbirds, fishing, flowers, and gardening. She was a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, and a resident of Liberty, KY, at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Franklin and Virginia Wilson Clements. She leaves 13 direct living descendants. Her final resting place will be in Trace Fork Cemetery in Casey County.

Jimmie Glen Capps, 60, Cumberland Co., KY (1957-2018)

He was retired Team Leader for Toyota Motor Manufacturing of Georgetown, KY. He loved his Toyota family and took pride in working there. He called himself a "hobby farmer" and enjoyed his cows and tractors. He was a member of a highly regarded Cumberland County, KY, family, the son of Bebe (Sharp) Capps and Earl (Becky Rush) Capps. His wife, Brenda Harden Capps, survives. He leaves Two direct living descendants. His final resting place will be in Perkins Cemetery in Cumberland County, KY.

Doris Aliene (Herron) Rector, Adair Co., KY (1939-2018)

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Pentecostal faith. She was the matriarch of a large respected South Central Kentucky family, with the daughter of the late Robert Leslie and Hazel Emma Campbell Herron, and the widow of John Wesley Rector. She leaves 28 direct living descendants. She enjoyed reading the Bible and spending time with family and friends and was a homemaker.

Ernest Leon White, 75, Metcalfe County, KY (1942-2018)

He was a native of Monroe County, KY, and a resident of Edmonton, KY, at the time of his death in Nashville, TN. His wife of 55 years Patricia White, survives. He leaves 19 direct living descendants. He was retired from SKF industries, a member of the Edmonton Baptist Church, Edmonton Masonic Lodge #931, Edmonton Eastern Star #470 and Metcalfe County American Legion. He was a United States Army veteran.

Campbellsville Independent Schools hosted Campbellsville/Taylor County Chamber of Commerce members for a monthly luncheon recently at the Campbellsville High School gymnasium.

Campbellsville elementary, middle and high school Lighthouse Team members and leadership students welcomed guests and waited on tables.
