Rolling roadblocks next week on Interstate 65 From Tennessee State line to MM 54 at Barren-Hart County line to allow Reynolds Striping to replace pavement markers By Wes Watt, Public Information Officer Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, District 3, 2015 Bowling Green, KY - (25 Sep 2015) - Rolling Roadblocks will be in place beginning next week on Interstate 65 stretching from the Tennessee State Line (Mile marker 0) to the Barren/Hart County Line (mile marker 54). The rolling roadblocks will begin Monday night and go for about a week starting at 10pmCT and last until 7amCT each day. The rolling roadblocks are being done so Reynolds Striping can work on replacing and repairing pavement markers. The crews will start on the northbound side at mile marker 0 and work north until about mile marker 54. Once northbound is complete, the crews will work their way southbound back the Tennessee State Line. The Kentucky State Police will be present during these roadblocks. AC Fire Dept. contains home fire to moderate damage On Oak Grove Road By Josh Brockman PIO Adair County Fire Department, Chief, Terry Flatt Columbia - Adair County Fire Department responded to a reported residential house fire at 10 a.m this morning 09-24-2015. The fire was located at 603 Oak Grove Rd and was owned by Joe Kimbler. Upon firefighters arrival there were flames visible coming through side of house. Greensburg RD area CAUD BOIL WATER ADVISORY: Date Issued: 9/24/2015, Time Issued 8pmCT. A boil water advisory s in effect for consumers of Columbia Adair Utilities District for customers from 3480 to 6070 Greensburg Road, P.D. Pyles Road, Burton Garmon Road, Bob Smith Road, M. Caldwell Road, G.W. Keltner Road and Slick Rock Road.The advisory has been issued due to main line leak. Following such an event, the potential exists for bacteriological contamination of the water supply therefore this Boil Water Advisory has been issued as a precautionary measure. Until further notice, boil all water used for drinking and cooking, bringing the water to a rolling boil for three minutes before using. This advisory will remain in effect until the situation has been corrected and test results have shown the water to be of an acceptable quality. Work on intersection lighting is progressing daily By Victoria Pike News from Greater Biliss In talking today with one of the engineers overseeing the project I found out that we will be getting eight lights that will be 120 feet tall each with about 4000 watts of power each. Look out Greater Bliss, we are about to be able to see everything we want to at night around the interchange. This is the most exciting news for this area in ages. People entering and exiting the area at night will be able to see and navigate more safely in the area that has had several accidents over the years since the interchange opened a few years ago.
