Unremembered maze
- a birthday sonnet for Lisa Comperry
My good intentions? Saying good should be
unnecessary as repeating words
that sound within the joys of loving spree
now gone but coming as migrating birds.

My old desires in unexpected ways
fulfilled are spurs to reconsider past
that reappears an unremembered maze
still here and growing intimate at last.

My better wants are waiting to emerge
and speak of faith and hope and selfless love
that populate inspiring side of verge
from which I will to choose to look above.

The best may be illusion never caught
but seeking best is always what we ought.

Overnight - Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. South wind 3 to 5 mph. Monday- A 30 percent chance of rain, mainly after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 39. Southwest wind 5 to 9 mph.

Monday night- Rain likely, mainly after midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 33. Southwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
