Derby found; but story has sad ending

Thanks to all you helped looking for beloved family pet.
About: Derby, lemon spotted beagle, is missing

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

Thank you so much for posting about our missing dog, Derby. Unfortunately, she was found by a neighbor this morning, dead.

We appreciate everyone who helped look for her.

She will be missed very much.

A special thank you to Ms. White who went looking for her this morning after reading that she was missing and found her and called to let us know where she was so we could go get her. Her kindness is greatly appreciated.

s/Julie McQueary
