Taylor Ford Road to be closed Saturday, June 14, 2008


PUBLIC NOTICE
Road Closed to through traffic

A section of Taylor Ford Road will be closed Saturday, June 14, 2008, for approximately six (6) hour due to the pumping of a waste lagooon. The section of closure will be from the bridge up to Jr. Burton Road.

Please use extreme caution when traveling on this road. Thank you for your patience.

ACES SBDM Council meeting for June 17, 2008 cancelled

Adair County Elementary School's regular monthly meeting that is scheduled for Tuesday, June 17th will be cancelled.

This is the last meeting for two of our council members. I would like to say thanks to Pam Cundiff and Pat Blair for their time and commitment in serving on our council. Your input has been greatly appreciated!

2008 Adair County Relay for Life Luminaries Lists

The two 2008 Adair County Relay for Life Luminaries Lists are posted today, compiled by Luminaries Chairperson Barbara Shepherd.

Both lists include the names of the persons who requested the honor and the names of the persons who bought the luminaries. The format of the list gives the first names first. The complete lists will be read tonight when one of the most dramatic events, the lighting of the luminaries, occurs at the 2008 Adair County Relay for Life.

Auction will benefit Green River Animal Shelter
The Green River Animal Welfare League (GRAWL) is holding an auction to benefit special projects at the Green River Animal Shelter on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 4:00pmCT at the VFW building. The following ofices, including the Adair County Sheriff's office just added, will be closed Friday, June 13, 2008, from 12:30pmCT until 2:00pmCT for the funeral of Jailer WIlliam "Bug" Knight's father:

Storyteller, Insect Collector at Camp Casey at 5pmCT today

The Adair County Public Library along with 21st CCLC Camp Casey, Family Resource Center and Title I would like to invite everyone to CWC tonight for a special treat. Storyteller, Mary Hamilton and Insect Collector, Charles Wright will be at CWC tonight at 5:00pmCT to share their presentation called "Buggy Kentucky," which is an exploration of Kentucky insects brought through story facts and real specimens.

The theme of this year's Summer Reading at ACPL is "Catch the Reading Bug" and bugs are also the theme of the Family Resource Center, 21st CCLC Camp Casey and Title I summer camp called "Critter Camp." Critter Camp is scheduled to begin on June 30th for students from CWC and JAIS. Please join us tonight for this FREE program that will entertain and teach!
