Feedback KY 900 animal: Is it possible mongeese in Adair?

About "KY 900 sighting of mink-like creature"

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

I worked in various islands over the course of the past 22 years, I saw a lot of creatures that fit the description of the animal you're describing. Don't know if it's possible but it sounds strikingly familiar to the mongoose I saw down there. Just a thought.s/Larry Sample

WAVE 92.7 weatherman saw monkey on 127 at Dunnville

Ed,

I'll be happy to join the guys in Adair County taking the ribbing about seeing a monkey in this area.

Traveling south on US 127 at the bridge in Dunnville, I did observe an animal with monkey characteristics cross the road. It was this past Saturday night (May 24, 2008) at around 9:30 PM CST. A lot of people think I'm nuts about it, but I Know what I saw.

KY 900 sighting of mink-like creature

ColumbiaMagazine.com:

On Wednesday while driving on Hwy 900 at about 8:45am (Saturday, May 31, 2008) we spotted what looks like a mink crossing the road. One had caught what looked like a baby rabbit and was meeting another mink that had already crossed the road.

s/Pat Pocchio

Thanks. Sure wish we had a photo of the mink. They have more elongated noses, like the sighting on KY 55 N., and long tails as both sightings reported, but they seemed too short-legged to be the same animal. Thanks for the report. Click Read More for recent animal sighting links -EW

There's been another monkey sighting

One witness thinks it was monkey, her husband isn't so sure. To him, it looked more like a meerkat, only twice as big as meerkats usually get to be
With several research links. Still no photographs, but evidence mounts there is something unusual out there.

By Ed Waggener

Jason Cox and Danny Biggerstaff have taken some ribbing about the monkey sighting they so courageously reported after spotting the animals fleeing from what may have been an attempted food raid at Cox's residence. The sighting took place Thursday, May 21, 2008.

Their story is now corroborated by another sighting of what seems to be one of the same animals.

    Letter: Enjoyed family so much

    To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

Timothy and Debbie Eaton of Glasgow, formerly of Columbia, entertained family members on Saturday and Sunday with a cookout. Timothy and Debbie are two of the best cooks, with Timothy doing most of the grilling and Debbie making all the fixings.

Debbie made the best blooming onion and potato salad. Those in attendance were: Mom and Dad, Dallas and Joyce Eaton; Timothy, Debbie, Trevor, Tori and Peyton Eaton of Glasgow; Jimmy, Ginger, Logan and Kayla Eaton of Columbia; and Sarah and me, West Virginia. My son spent the weekend with his dad and my brother, Dallas II, Kelly, Kyle, Tyler and Hannah Eaton were unable to attend.

It was so good to be home. I enjoyed my family so much!

    s/Paula Eaton Ball
