Garrison Construction apparent low bidder on Greenhills project

Seventeen companies submit bids. Apparent winning firm is located in Adair County at Clay Ridge, but has Green County address. Bid nearly half highest bid, and more than $11,500 under second low bidder. Complete list of bids follows.

Garrison Construction Co., an Adair County firm, was the apparent low bidder this morning on the Green Hills/Parrott Avenue Sewer Project.

Garrison Construction's bid was $835,847,84. This was $14,152.16 less than the engineer's estimate of $850,00.

This is an excellent chance to gather a lot of information and a variety of topics in one place.

Volunteers for Countywide Cleanup now over 200

Adair County Community Pride clean-up day . . .
. . . with the theme "Pride Today for a Brighter Tomorrow in Adair County," is Saturday, April 12, 2008. A big day of clean up, food, fun, prizes and surprises starts at the Adair Annex at 8:00am for breakfast doughnuts, coffee and juice, pep rally, assignments and sign-in, and with a celebration lunch and Keep Adair County Clean rally at Mt. Arts Council planning summer art camp at ACES

Volunteers needed to share talent with kids this summer

For Adair County Arts Council

We are planning a summer arts camp for 4th, 5th and 6th graders at Adair County Elementary, June 16 to 20, 2008. The camp will be held from 9:00am to 2:00pmCT daily. Our goal is to offer a variety of art activities for students including ceramics, photography, weaving, painting, woodworking, crafts etc.

We are looking for community members that would be willing to share their talents with our kids. We have money for supplies but need volunteers. Contact me if they are interested in helping? I can be reached at 384-9112 or at Debbie.cowan@adair.kyschools.us
