TODAY, MON., Nov. 27, 2006: It's looking a lot like Christmas Events. Links. Weather. Court Docket. Adair School District Menus, Calendar. Traffic. Site news. And More. Stand-alone (no story) photos may trail this feature. Christmas 2006: Columbia is lit-up, decorated, and ready for the Christmas Season. Christmas was the one time my mother, Audrey Waggener, liked to just drive around town. She loved the Christmas lights, back then. I wish she were alive to see the town today. Christmas beauty is everywhere, from the elegantly beautiful red and green Christmas Wreath on the Hill residence on High Street, to the giant "Star of Hudson Street," a gigantic Christmas star in the Hudson Division, which is mostly readily seen driving east on Hudson Street. Graded Hill (East Guardian) has a show of Christmas worth driving to; we have a photo of one of them. What I wish is that readers would help build a list of must see Christmas decorations from all over Adair County. If you'd like to contribute to it, click the Contact/Submit button below. Feedback: Another scenic turn out of Raywick, to My Old KY Home Comments re article 15548, Daytrip Sunday afternoon drive to Scott's Ridge Overlook Ed, Good to see story on Scott's Ridge Overlook (never knew what it was called). Here's an alternate route I'd like to suggest: Continue north of Raywick, to Holy Cross. There pick up HWY 49 north. It brings you out at My Old Kentucky Home at Bardstown. Several times over the last 34 years, when not in a hurry, I will take this route from Shepherdsville to Columbia. His feelings have been hurt. Aware of his curmudgeonly ways, he admits to seeing a graciousness mentor. Ed, Well, now you've gone and done it!
