How to save downtown was subject of Tuesday meeting George "Lisle" Cheatham, II, Mayor of Greensburg, was the guest speaker at the Tuesday Chamber of Commerce lunch meeting. His subject was "Hidden Secrets in Tourism Development: Green River Paddle Trail". Mayor Cheatham is recognized for his leadership in turning around downtown Greensburg -- empty buildings have been reduced by half -- and also in developing a new Green County asset, the Green River Paddle Trail. His message centered around making downtown a good place to visit, with the reminder that if a visitor stays overnight, they will spend much more while here than if they merely pass through for a brief stop. Columbian offers family fun shows starting tonight Starting tonight and running through next Thursday at The Columbian Theatre, the early movie is 'Barnyard: The Original Party Animals', a movie kids are sure to enjoy. Also starting Friday we have 'Little Man'. A crime comedy, 'Little Man' is rated PG-13 andwill play nightly at 8:00 and Sunday Matinee at 4:00 pm only.
