On the 4th of July, this family knows 'Freedom Isn't Free' "...take a few minutes to think about all of the men and women who are putting thier lives on the line..." I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy 4th of July. This holiday has to be one of the most difficult holidays for many families across our country. The 4th of July is a day that celebrates our independence. How does one obtain this freedom? My boys and I are very aware of how this is achieved, as do many Americans across this country. Sacrifice of men and women, thier ability to go away from thier loved ones for many months, some even years and some never to return. I am writing this in honor of my husband, CMDR Jeff Giles, who has been away from his family for over a year now. I do this in hopes that everyone will remember what this day represents.
