KSP is investigating discovery of decomposed body in Clinton

Kentucky State Police are investigating a decomposed body of a white female located in an apartment at Spring Creek Manor in Clinton County.

An autopsy will be performed next date.

Cloudburst causes hilltop flooding. Petty's Fork out of banks

Flash flooding puts water over roadway at several points on KY 61 south to Interchange

Petty's Fork covered the Mabel and Ella Little Bottom on Petty's Fork, creating, briefly, Lake Margaret on the Ben and Margaret Farm. The temporary lake was the result of a short, torrential cloudburst Sunday afternoon, June 25, 2006 which caused flooding and pooling in areas which seldom flood. The downpour was apparently confined to a radius of about one mile around Pinewood Country Club. The pond on the Grider Farm filled and overflowed in a swift streams. The flash flooding had water over the roadway at Richard Lee Walker's at the junction of KY 80 & KY 61, and, at one point, nearer to town, only the south lane could be used to get through the recently opened section of KY 61 at the north end of the Ben and Margaret Arnold Farm. The photo was taken at 6:17pm CT, and the waters were already receding, with little remaining evidence of the flashflood remaining at 6:45pm. (Update: Monday, June 26, 2006 10:00am CT. The lake is gone.)

Fiery pickup crash in Gradyville takes life of Dr. Kenneth Peasley

CM note: We have received word from another source that the victim is a beloved family physician, Dr. Ken Peasley, who has treated thousands of patients at Aaron Medical Center, Westlake Primary Care, Edmonton Primary Care, and the local hospital since moving here from Manchester, KY, in the early 1990s.
KSP UPDATE Monday, June 26, 2006. 11:46am CT: In reference to the fatal accident that occurred in Adair County on June 25, 2006, the driver of the vehicle has been identified as Dr. Kenneth Wayne Peasley, age 54, of Columbia, Kentucky. Occurred at 5:45am CT, Sunday, June 25, 2006

Trooper David Gibbs is investigating a one vehicle fatal accident that occurred approximately 6 miles west of Columbia on KY 80 around 0545hrs this morning.

The victim was traveling east on KY 80 in a 2001 Chevy pickup when victim ran off the roadway, struck a culvert and a tree, then the vehicle burst into flames.

Friday traffic stop results in arrest on DUI and drug charges

Columbia man lodged in Adair County Regional Jail

A traffic stop Friday evening inside the city limits of Columbia resulted in the arrest of an Adair County man, Donald G. Matney, 45, on DUI and drug charges.

Matney now faces charges of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, possession of controlled substance third degree, and prescription controlled substance not in proper container.

Feedback: President Denton weighs in on ACLL issues

Says Adair CountyLittle League board members take responsibilities seriously; asks volunteers to continue to step up and help kids

I have seen Robert Brock, Artistic Director of Kentucky Repertory Theatre at Horse Cave, present The Revelation of John as a one person performance piece several times. I had that pleasure twice at the theatre and three other times in church sanctuaries (two of those churches were congregations I served as pastor). I hope to see Robert present The Gospel of Mark later this year at KY Rep.
