2021 LWC Alumni Award recipients

Lindsey Wilson College 89th Homecoming will be held Oct. 1 and 2. The LWC National Alumni Association has selected four individuals as 2021 alumni award recipients. *The Alumni Awards Celebration that was scheduled to be held Saturday has been canceled and the award recipients will be recognized in alternate ways.

The four individuals to be recognized at a later date:
  • Karen Sue Pendleton '60 Wilson, top left, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, will receive the Distinguished Alumna Award;

  • Kasey Compton '10, top right, of Somerset, Kentucky, will receive the Outstanding Young Alumna Award;

  • Linda McKinley '68 Grider, bottom left, of Columbia, Kentucky, will receive the Distinguished Service Award;

  • And longtime friend and former LWC Professor of Physics and Physical Sciences Garmoline Carpenter, bottom right, of Russell Springs, Kentucky, will be named an honorary alumna, posthumously.
