Deputy Chandler Staten graduates DOCJT Basic Training

The Adair County Sheriff's Office would like to congratulate Deputy Chandler Staten in his graduation from the Department of Criminal Justice Police Academy.

Sheriff Josh Brockman says, "We are very proud of Chandler and feel he will be a great asset to the Adair County Sheriff's Office and the people of Adair County."

On December 5th, 2019, Deputy Staten along with 29 other deputies and officers walked across the stage to receive their certificate from the Commissioner Alex Payne. Staten completed 20 weeks with over 800 hours of classroom instruction on topics such as, but not limited to Penal Code, Defensive Tactics, Emergency Driving, Firearms, and applying the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Staten was joined Thursday in Richmond for his graduation by family, friends, and coworkers at the Sheriff's Office. Pictured with him are his wife Hailey Staten, top left, and with Sheriff Josh Brockman, and at right with Commissioner Alex Payne.
