Kentucky Monthly features Joe Spires and the Giles cabin

Adair County’s Joe Spires is featured in the September issue of Kentucky Monthly magazine. He proudly shared the article at the Revisit Knifley festival last weekend. He grew up in Spout Springs and worked with Henry Giles to help create the Janice Holt and Henry Giles cabin in Knifley where the authors wrote some twenty books. Joe always attends the festival at the cabin on the first Saturday in October. For more information on the upcoming festival, contact Keysha Tucker, 270.789.1713. If you aren't a subscriber to the magazine, it can be found at the Adair County Public Library in Columbia.
