Terry Johnson and Craig Lasley by ancient tree at City Park

2019-09-05 - Columbia - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
A huge oak tree, thought to be 150 to 200 years old, had to be given up at the City Park on Fairground Street in Columbia because of deterioration. Craig Lasley and Terry Johnson we’re at work mowing around it on the one acre park Wednesday, September 4, 2019. The wood will be given to people in need of wood for winter during the day of service on September 21, 2019. The work is part of several upgrades that have been done to City Park this year. Most recently security cameras have been installed around the pavilion so the location is ready for public events such as community singings, concerts and movies. For information on the use of the City of Columbia Park call City Hall 270-384-2501.
