Travel: the Hatfield vs McCoy feud

Hatfield vs McCoy, the most famous family Kentucky feud in its time. Media seemed to have a field day with the rural families constant arguing. The McCoys had a homestead in Pikeville, KY while the Hatfields were close by on the West Virginia state line. Like most cemeteries, McCoy family members are buried in Pikeville on a steep mountain. A constant flow of visitors from everywhere on the map stop to pay their respects to a family that seemed to experience nothing but turmoil and heartache. Makes an interesting day trip - pick up a self guided tour at the downtown visitor center for some true history.
