2019-04-25 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.

Jennifer Carter, ACHS instructor of health science and future health professionals, is pictured here with three of her four HOSA Members, the international organization in high schools for students who want to gain experience toward careers in health care. Pictured at the April 23, 2019 Adair County Board of Education meeting from left are: Ty Cheatham, Carter, Elizabeth Cook and Natalie Taylor. Absent at photo time was the fourth member, Jaiden Taylor, who had a previous school activity. HOSA student members develop leadership skills, build self-confidence and strengthen their academic and technical skills. Their requests for approval of out-of-state trip and transportation cost to Orlando, Florida were granted. The group is doing additional fundraising to help with other expenses as well.
