Farmers Market has second great Saturday, and has a question for the City of Columbia

2019-04-16 - Corner Merchant and Campbellsville Streets, Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
Donna Jones, director, helped a customer at the Saturday Farmers Market on the Square and then said, "We've had two great Saturdays, drawing many new faces to Columbia, and the ACES students had a blast and will return in September - but we have a question."

As the first representative of the City of Columbia at the Market Saturday, April 13, 2019, I received the question - "why are the Farmers Market vendors locked out of City Hall restrooms?"

It's the first I've heard of this. Now I'm asking the question of the rest of our City leaders - don't all other groups and organizations have use of the restrooms when working with the city? City Hall is the people's house and whatever rules apply for use by one group must be the same for all. -- Linda Waggener
