Proclaiming Caregivers Day in Columbia

Mayor Pamela Hoots, seated, proclaimed Wednesday, February 6, 2019 Caregivers Day in Columbia, KY at the group's monthly meeting. The proclamation read, in part, whereas the City of Columbia is appreciative of the work the local Caregivers group does for our community and recognizes the services provided by them, this day is recognized as Caregivers Day. Standing, from left, are: Betty Judd, Diane Wallace, Patricia Harper, Linda Waggener and Latasha Harden. The meetings are free and open to anyone who takes care of another person, or needs information about self-care to be strong for others. They meet each first Wednesday and provide a light lunch at the Extension Office in Columbia, KY at 11amCT, hosted by Encompass Health of Lakeview Rehab Hospital of Elizabethtown.
