TED*talk: Pressure to succeed in South Korea

2018-11-15 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Sabine Eastham.
Gabe Roberts, Student Employee at ISP from Russell Springs, KY, writes, "On November 12,2018, students gathered at the Iinternational Student Programs (ISP) House, where Kathryn McFadden, a student employee at ISP from Danville, KY, led a discussion on the pressures to succeed academically. Particularly, she discussed the pressures faced by South Korean exchange students, and how the study abroad experience affects that. It is normal for high school students to go to school from 7AM til 10PM, six days a week as well as receive additional tutoring to make it to the top 1% that will be accepted to universities."
