Edmonton authors Chambers and Perkins signing autographs

Authors Susan Chambers, left, and Carol Perkins, ColumbiaMagazine.com contributing columnists, are busy signing preorders before their book reveal. They've completed a 450 page book simply entitled "Edmonton (1940-2018)." Signed copies of the book are available for sale with a program featuring how the book developed, tall tales of the town, and shared memories from various speakers. Both authors are retired Metcalfe County teachers. (Both have close Adair County ties: Susan Shirley Chambers is a graduate of Lindsey Wilson College; Carol Sullivan Perkins' mother, Marguerite Reece Sullivan, is a native of Adair County, and Carol is a first cousin of Paula Reece Propes, author of Columbia's motto "Columbia - A great place to call home. - CM)
