Sea shells observed through eyes of 7-year-old discoverer

2018-08-22 - Roberta D. Cranmer Dining Center, 430 Helen Flatt Drive, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com (aka Granddad).
A collection of shells in the lobby of the dining hall at Lindsey Wilson College caught the eye of our seven-year-old granddaughter Matilda Ann. Having just entered second grade, Tillie is reading and sounded out the words labeling the names of each of the shells within her height range. Over the years, it has been one thing to pass by and think how nice the collection is at a passing glance. It was quite another - I'd call it pure joy - experiencing the shells up close through the eyes of this young discoverer. PS: There was no pageant, Tillie wore her tiara "just because." - LW (aka Mema)
