Wildflowers of KY - Today's Special - Queen Ann's Lace & _____

2018-06-26 - South Central Kentucky byway - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
The accent flower above is cornflower with emphases of graying fence post and barbed wire. There are those who admire Queen Ann's lace all by its lonesome, who see a mass of the of even-topped umbels as a thing of great beauty. But many, especially those who love the un-neat, (Joyce Coomer's word) - like the wild carrot plant as a companion plant. Cornflower is a favorite. QAL and Orange Milkweed is exquisite. And QAL and Orange Milkweed and a butterfly or tiny bird - are a trinity. Divine. - EW. (Linda concurs) Paired photo. See: Wildflowers of KY - Today's Special II - QAL & Visitor Combo.
