ACHS United Nations team named Delegation of Excellence

2018-03-08 - Louisville, KY - Photo from Mrs. Candice Flatt, Adair County High School.
The students above are from Mrs. Candice Flatt's Kentucky United Nations Assembly or KUNA team. They competed in a 3-day competition at Louisville, KY. The competition is a mock United Nations Assembly. They debated a resolution created by them, and won one of the top honors for their resolution and debate. Out of 50 resolutions that were passed at the assembly, only 8 get the title of Resolution Endorsed by the Secretary General. Our team was one of the eight to receive the award. They also received an award for Delegation of Excellence, and the Outstanding Ambassador award went to Jaiden Taylor. Team members are Jaiden Taylor, Lindsey Taylor, Emilee Flatt, Billy Salmon, Aaron Peck, Kelsey Wiley, Hannah Brown, Jeanene Pike, Walter Baker, and Walker Karnes.
