Post Office mystery dog identified, lives next door: He's Buddy

2018-02-13 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
Twice last week photos were run of a mystery dog that appeared for several hours a day, checking out every patron, at the US Post Office on Burkesville Street. Today the mystery was solved when I came out of the building and heard a voice call from the neighbor's property, "Here Buddy, come here!" The mystery dog came alert, lunged past and bounded toward the voice of Houston Murray, leaning against a tree in the yard next door. He said Buddy is a five-month-old mix and lives in the garage. When he's let out to play each day, Houston had no idea his dog had become a puzzle at the Post Office. It's good to know the curious dog has a good home. - LW. Paired photo
