Jennifer Zurick, of Berea, is a self-taught artist whose work exemplifies innovation, simplicity and a kind of artistic excellence that occurs when a maker of masterful skill becomes one with the material. She is being honored as the recipient of Governor's Award in the Arts, Folk Heritage Award.

The Kentucky Artisan Center, 200 Artisan Way, Berea, KY. The center's exhibits, shopping and travel information areas are open daily, year-round, 8am-5pmCT/9am-6pmET, and the cafe is open from 8am-3pmCT/9am-4pmET. Admission is free.
