Day Trips are among favorite activities, discovering the beautiful countryside in south central Kentucky. In a perfect world, there'd be time in each state doing the same, but I'd always come back to the scenery of this region. We went looking for the last of the snow after the storm left last week as temperatures zoomed from freezing up to the high sixties over a matter of days. Almost all evidence of the storm was gone except for the thin ice cover on this pond on Patty Ridge Road in Russell County. -- LW. Paired Photo
