Columbia's Walmart will have an even greater impact on the local economy when the announced $11/hour minimum wage takes effect. The store's impact on the local economy got a giant boost last year when a Walmart Training Academy opened, bringing approximately 90 additional WM Employees to Columbia for managerial training.
