1st of recently purchased Ford AWD Explorer interceptors

On Friday, November 17, 2017, the first of two Ford AWD Explorer interceptors, was being prepared to go into service. City Council approved the payment of $34,300 total for the two cars, one a 2015 and the other a 2016. The cars were purchased from J & S. Auto Sales, Columbia. This interceptor was assigned to Sgt. Junior Murphy. The second one will be assigned to the officer who will work with the Department's Belgian Malinois, now in training at the Canine Academy in Russell Springs. - Ed Waggener
