Larry Smith favorite old photo: N Main, Greensburg, KY 1950s

2017-11-15 - N Main Street, Greensburg, Green County, KY - Photo from the collection of Larry Smith, FM 99.9 The Big Dawg.
The Greensburg Baptist Church in the 1950's was a beautiful edifice, and one that is equally handsome today, on a much larger scale. Wish we could identify all the delightful vehicles from back then, and hope listeners and ColumbiaMagazine.com readers can help. Greensburg is my boyhood hometown, and I'm so proud that the changes over the year are positive. It's one of the few towns anywhere where preservation has paid off so well, and the 21st century community is even more beautiful, more vibrant, than it was over five decades ago, along with my adopted hometown, Campbellsville, KY, home of the Big Dawg, 99.9 FM. - Larry Smith.
Larry Smith is a leading South Central Kentucky historian and photo archivist. He's General Manager of FM 99.9, the Big Dawg.
