Community meal to honor memory of Rev. Joseph Payne

2017-11-12 - Wheet Fellowship Hall, 1200 Jamestown Street, Columbia, KY - Photo from the family collection.

The Rev. Joe Payne who served the community of Adair County for many years will be honored with a community Thanksgiving meal and brief service this coming Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the Wheet Fellowship Hall of the Columbia First Church of the Nazarene, 1200 Jamestown Street, Columbia, KY. He served on many boards and committees including the Lake Cumberland Area Development District, the local Ministerial Association, the Family Resource center, founder of the Agape House, the Green River Homeplace, the Drug Court, the Adair County School Board, Chamber of Commerce, and was involved in the jail ministry. He was pastor at the Eunice Church of God for 25 years and was also chaplain at Westlake Cumberland Hospital.
