2017-10-17 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
Top officials of the Black Stallion Steakhouse met on Monday, October 16, 2017, in Columbia, KY, with Mike Neal and Mike Stephens of Pinewood Shopping Center to sign paperwork bringing a Black Stallion Steakhouse to Columbia, KY. Seated is Jesus E. Alvarez, CEO of the restaurant chain. From left, standing, are Javier Cavallero, chef; Mike Neal, partner in Pinewood Shopping Center; Jose Alvarez of Black Stallion; Adair County Judge Executive Michael Lee Stephens, a partner in Pinewood Shopping Center; and Oscar Alvarez, of Black Stallion. Jesus, Jose, and Oscar Alvarez are brothers. Javier Cavallero is their brother in law. This will be the second restaurant in the chain branded "Black Stallion Steakhouse." The other one is in Monticello, KY. The company operates other steakhouses under other names. Now with the commitment, opening of the steakhouse will be expedited. The company will bring 30-35 new jobs to Columbia - providing yet another impetus to the local economy. - EW. Paired photo: Epicurean Kentuckian: Preview of coming attraction in Columbia, KY
