Students help break ground on site of new Sports Complex

Campbellsville Independent Schools' students were a part of history on Friday, Aug. 18. Thirty students were on hand to participate in the groundbreaking of the Campbellsville Sports Complex. From left, front, are fourth-graders Brayden Paiz, Isaiah Jeffries and Ethan Garrison, third-graders Emerson Gowin, Hayden Maupin, Cayton Lawhorn, Reece Swafford and Luke Adkins, fourth-grader Cameron Taylor, third-graders Lanigan Price, Damien Clark and Jaron Johnson, fifth-grader Rowan Petett, fourth-graders Caysen Tungate, Bradley Paris, Cameron Estes, Keaton Hord and Carson Mills and fifth-grader Skylar Wilhoite. Back, CMS teacher Katie Campbell, CIS Superintendent Kirby Smith, eighth-grader C.J. Adams, seventh-grader Seth Hash, eighth-grader Tuff Harper, senior Ethan Lay, sixth-grader Tashuan Hart, juniors Jackson Hinton and Ryan Kearney, eighth-graders Damon Johnson and Karley Morris, seventh-grader Leigh Hicks, CHS Assistant Principal Mark Kearney, junior Lane Bottoms and CES teacher Lynn Kearney.
