2017-08-08 - City Hall, 116 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com(c).
Mayor Curtis D. Hardwick and the Columbia City Council paid tribute to one of their own and one of Adair County's most gifted and giving citizens of all time, the late Joe Allen Moore (1938-2017), with his son, Billy Joe Moore, far left, and daughter, Debbie Burris, third from left, on hand for the event. Joe Moore's children were presented a plaque from Mayor Hardwick, which read "In Memory of Joe Moore, former City Councilman and Local Historian. In honor of His Dignity & Dedication While Serving The City of Columbia. 1938-2017." Council Member Pam Hoots, who organized the presentation, presented Billy Joe Moore and Debbie Burris with a flag flown over the nation's capitol, courtesy of Rep. James Comer, arranged through Comer's field representative, Tiffany Kessler of Columbia, KY. From left: Billy Joe Moore, Mayor Curtis D. Hardwick, Debbie Burris, Council member Craig Lasley, Council members Pam Hoots, Ronald P. Rogers, Craig Dean, Linda Waggener, and Mark D. Harris. - EW. Photo Mon 07 Aug 2017.
