Dr. Amanda Hess delivers baby in distress, then has her own

2017-07-27 - Frankfort, KY - Photo from Family Medical Center.
Baby Ellen (and her big sister Kate) will have fun hearing the story of their hero Mom, Dr. Amanda Hess, when they grow up. This picture was taken minutes after she delivered Ellen Joyce, and shortly after she'd stopped prep for her own delivery to help another patient whose baby was in distress. Women doctors who deliver babies are regularly moms themselves. Seldom, however, do they stop their own delivery progress to help another mother whose baby is in an emergency situation. This one did, and she is making news and collecting congratulations! - LW
