Key Columbia sidewalk users and researchers for improvement, Barry & Mary Anne Loy, played their parts on one of the two teams conducting a walkability survey of downtown. Their task was to view the sidewalks from the perspective of someone in a wheelchair. The problem was sidewalk safety on this Jamestown Street corner of the square -- a motorist could have trouble seeing someone in a wheelchair around the trash bin, flower box and multiple signs. - LINDA
