Paul Wilkes, fisheries program coordinator for the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, holds four healthy saugeye caught recently in Shelby County's Guist Creek Lake. Guist Creek Lake is one of the original lakes stocked at the beginning of the saugeye stocking effort in 2013 and holds a burgeoning population of fish. Five lakes in central and northern Kentucky received saugeye stockings this year.
