Blossoms of KY - No, Sleeping Tree doesn't take siesta

The Mimosa is also called "The Sleeping Tree" in Asia because at night, its leaves curl up. But one could not prove it by me. Most around here probably haven't seen the phenomenon, much less documented it. This photo was taken just after noon yesterday, on the off-chance local trees take siestas, a healthy practice many locals practice, but apparently not this alert tree standing by the water, moving in the very gentle wind. - EW
