Where everything is happening today

2017-06-16 - From Will Walker Lane, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com(c).
From Will Walker Lane, at the entrance to Pinewood Shopping Center, a beehive of activity can be seen through the fog - even if one has to look triple hard to Kenneth& Earnestine Bennett's place high on the hill and Miss Vicky's Pampered Angus Ranch in Greater Bliss was nigh impossible to see. There's blacktopping at The Appliance Store across Burkesville Road and, out-of-frame on the right, a lot of paving work in Pinewood Shopping Center. The million gallon Raider Bob water tower gives one a Francis Scott Key moment, and almost dead-center is where a huge event is set to occur today, the Grand Re-Opening of the Columbia Walmart Super Center, where there ill be today, with a Ribbon Cutting at 9amCT. - EW
