City Council says NO to selling six acres on Columbia Bypass

Mayor Curtis Hardwick announced to the Columbia City Council that he had been approached by a person inquiring about the possibility of buying six acres of property the city owns on the Adair County Memorial Veterans Bypass, above. The idea was briefly discussed, but came to a quick, end with a unanimous vote, on a motion by Council Member Ronald Rogers, with a second by Craig Dean, that the land is not for sale at this time. Council Members Linda Waggener, Craig Lasley, Pam Hoots, and Mark Harris concurred. - EW
