Proprieter/Owner/Operator/Head Pitmaster Susan Nokes of Millerfield Cafe is smoking BBQ better than a Kansas City pro at Fridays & Saturdays at the restaurant. That's a thick piece of shoulder on the left, a pork chop on the right, with a plate assembled by diners at table with a piece of cornbread and the cafe's wonderful red potato salad (worth the trip) itself. The restaurant in now drawing big crowds Russell, Casey, Taylor, and of course Adair County, in addition to a cities in the area including Loretta, Danville, Somerset, Clay Ridge, and elsewhere. - CM
